Settling in at Christ Presbyterian | Carpooling
We've thoroughly enjoyed transitioning to our new rehearsal location and are especially delighted seeing so many of you taking advantage of the many places to relax or do work alongside your fellow MYC parents within this beautiful facility! If you haven't yet ventured up the staircase to the second floor--check it out this weekend and enjoy the view of the lake and the plenteous cozy spots to settle in while your singer rehearses. You are also always welcome--even if the rehearsal door is closed--to quietly slide in and enjoy watching any of the rehearsals in progress. Just be sure your phone is off!

If you're interested in pursuing a carpool and haven't yet made a connection to another MYC family on your side of town, email the MYC office and we can provide a roster for your reference.

Wardrobe Fittings for New Singers
Singers new to MYC this semester are invited to email Ian this week to set up a wardrobe fitting appointment before their rehearsal beginning Sunday, January 26 or Monday, January 27. Fittings need to be completed by mid-February.

Spring Introductory Choir Starting Soon
We have just a few seats remaining in our introductory choir session beginning Monday, February 10. Registration is open on our website. Introductory choir is the first MYC ensemble for new students ages 7-10 and is just a ten-week commitment for one hour each week. Please share with your interested friends and family!

Handel Aria Showcase Performance | Choraliers
Choraliers singers will be performing "Ombra mai fu" (from their first semester repertoire) at the Handel Aria High School Showcase event at Capitol Lakes Retirement Community.

The Details:
Saturday, February 8
Singers may be dropped off at the main entrance. We will have staff there to greet and direct them. Parking is available in the lot across the street and throughout the neighborhood.

Event begins at 2pm.

Please wear MYC concert wardrobe, black tights/hosiery, flat black dress shoes.

This event is free and open to the public. Choraliers parents are encouraged to attend! If your singer has an immovable, unavoidable conflict, thank you for submitting the online absence form.

Please note: singers new to Choraliers this semester are welcome to attend as audience members but are not expected to sing as the repertoire is unknown to them.

Cantabile to Perform with Madison Choral Project
Madison Choral Project (MCP), Wisconsin's first fully professional choir, is collaborating with Cantabile this winter rehearsing together and studying fantastic repertoire celebrating the vibrant and varied colors of treble voices. They will be performing together in a culminating concert event, not to be missed, on Saturday, February 22, 7:30pm at First Congregational Church, 1609 University Avenue.

Tickets are available from Madison Choral Project.

Sign Up for Text Alerts
We're in the season of unpredictable weather which may (sadly!) lead to canceling rehearsals on a Sunday or Monday. When we cancel a rehearsal we will always send an email, post the news on our Facebook page, and use the Remind app tool to send a text message to families who have signed up for alerts. Signing up is easy and voluntary and you can find the instructions here:
