Dear --FNAME--

This is our favorite time of year here at the Children's Safety Center. A time where we see firsthand how generous and thoughtful the people of Northwest Arkansas truly are. Please read the stories of giving below. We hope they inspire you as much as you've inspired us. Thank you for all you've done for the Center and the children we serve. Together, we are providing help, healing and hope to the children who need it most.

Toys 4 Joy Biker Toy Run

Thank you to the NWA Biker Communities that made the NWA's United Toys 4 Joy Run a huge success. We were honored to be a part of it this year. Every dollar donated directly impacts programs for abused children and stays in Washington County. We appreciate the time and effort it took to make this event a huge success.

Game Skills Pay Off

Several years back Ian Lewis learned how to master the crane machine in stores and donated his prizes to the CSC. He still plays now and then and this is his second delivery for our children. When the children come through the Center, they are always given a stuffed animal before they leave. Thank you Ian for thinking of others this Holiday Season. The children will love the colorful animals you won for them!

Kappa Delta Wins Award

We are proud to announce that the ladies of ‪Kappa Delta sorority are the 2015 recipients of the National Philanthropy Day Youth in Philanthropy award presented by the NWA chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

The ladies of ‪Kappa Delta‬ are extremely passionate about raising awareness for child abuse issues at the University as well as the NWA community. These young women have held events to raise funds and awareness for the CSC for the past 8 years while logging countless volunteer hours. They also bring more than 100 new members to the Center each fall for a tour and to learn about our programs.

The CSC team and the children we serve are very thankful to have you all as partners and friends. Congratulations on your accomplishment and award!

One Child To Another

Chantry O'Brien has always been thoughtful and done things for others. This Christmas is no different. While out shopping for presents for family, friends, and a little boy from the Center, he spotted a pair of "Kicks" (aka shoes) that he really liked and wanted for himself. He picked them up and thought for a second, then turned to his mother and said, "If I really want these, then the little boy will like them too!" He bought a black pair plus other clothes and needs for the boy.

Thank you Chantry for inspiring us all to be thoughtful and generous towards others this holiday season!

C.A.R.E. Initiative Cares

Thank you to the C.A.R.E. Initiative for the substantial grant and for Christmas presents for several of our families. We are thankful to have your continued support over the years and your gift ensures that we are able to provide services to more than 500 alleged child abuse victims in Washington County.

Bikes, Blues & BBQ Gives

We had fun at the 2015 Bikes, Blues, & BBQ funding celebration where we were one of 40 local charities that received funds from the organization. We love volunteering at the Bikes, Blues & BBQ rally every year and are excited to partner with you again in 2016. We could not provide critical services to the children of Washington County without you.

Run Chris Run

Children's Safety Center board president Chris Thornton ran from Lake Bella Vista Dam, along the Razorback Greenway trail system, ending in Johnson for a total of 31 miles on Saturday to raise money for the CSC and his Mercy School in Uganda. We are proud of his accomplishment! Read a quote from Chris below:

"As of today we raised $5,107!!! Thank you for all your support! I am super pumped and excited to have run my first 50k (31 miles) and raise money for vulnerable children in my hometown and in my second home of Jinja, Uganda... So awesome! Thank you!" #1Run2CharitiesAWorldOfDiffercence
