Thank You! Global Church Sponsorship
Every year rostered leaders gather for a time of worship before Holy Week. This year the offering from that service helped support a scholarship for International Women Leaders. Her personal thank you to our synod is below.

This fund invested in the future of women leaders, our companion churches, educational institutions and entire communities. Join us in God’s amazing work. Help us expand opportunities for women across the globe as we strive for a church – and society – built on true gender equity. Learn more
Peace Not Walls Update
For Christ is our peace; in his flesh he has made both groups into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us. Eph. 2:14
We can help break down the walls of fear and anger that have been stalling the peace negotiations  between Israel and Palestine. Since 1967, Israel has built settlements, now housing over 700,000 Israelis on land that should be Palestine. This land is now no longer accessible to Palestinians. The settlements and the roads, walls and checkpoints built to support them leave no land for a sovereign, contiguous, viable Palestine. Settlements are a main obstruction to the peace negotiations. One can understand that Palestinians are frustrated and angry about their losses, and Israelis are angry and fearful about the retributions from angry Palestinians.
We can build hope by praying daily for peace and working compassionately for increased understanding and trust.  As we come to understand and address the fears Israelis have, as a result of generations of oppression, and their consequent oppression of the Palestinians out of their fear, we can begin to resolve the
hostilities. We can seek an end to the ongoing settlement enterprise through our advocacy. Click here for more information
