Concert Day Sundries
We are so very proud of our singers and are looking forward to a full day of celebrating all they have learned and accomplished this fall at our concerts on Sunday. Thank you, parents, for the myriad ways you support your singer's participation in MYC--especially on a busy concert weekend! All the details you need to know are listed below. Thank you for reading carefully.

Thank you for making sure your singer arrives wearing the appropriate attire on concert day:

Girls: black MYC concert dress, black hosiery (no leggings, please), black flat dressy shoes
Boys: khaki pants, white Oxford, blue blazer, MYC boychoir tie (already tied, please!), black belt (if needed), black dressy shoes (no athletic shoes, please), black socks
Ragazzi: full tuxedo with bow tie, black dressy shoes, black socks

Arrival and Parking
Please review your parking options for the concert venue: First Congregational Church, 1609 University Avenue.

We recommend dropping your singer first and then finding parking so they are not late for their call time. Singers may enter the front or the back of the church. We will have signs posted and volunteers directing singers to their warm-up space.

Patrons with mobility challenges should plan to be dropped off at the back Lathrop Street entrance where the elevator to the sanctuary level (concert hall) is located. There will be a limited number of handicapped spaces available in the small lot adjacent to this back entrance. Please respect the reserved signs and only use these spots if you have the appropriate placard.

Call Times
Singers should be in their warm-up space, dressed for their concert at the times listed below. This means getting dropped off about five minutes before the call time (no need to be earlier than that!):

1:30PM Concert
Call time is 1PM
Choraliers and Capriccio report to Chapel along back hallway;
Con Gioia and Cantilena report to Fellowship Room in the basement;
Cantabile: we will have signs and volunteers directing you (space TBD)

4:00PM Concert
Holst call time is 3:15 | Purcell, Britten and Ragazzi call time is 3:30
Holst, Purcell, and Britten report to the Fellowship Room in the basement;
Ragazzi reports to Chapel along back hallway

7:00PM Concert
Call time is 6:30PM
Cantilena reports to Chapel along back hallway;
Cantabile and Ragazzi report to Fellowship Room in the basement.

The ticket tables will be open to coincide with singer call times.

Seating is general admission; please respect the "Reserved" signage for our singers.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for students ages 7-18; children under 7 are free. There is no charge for MYC singers wishing to attend a concert in which they do not sing, e.g., their sibling's concert. Wearing your concert wardrobe is the easiest way for the ushers to know you are an MYC singer. If you wish to stop at the ticket table to pick up a ticket, that works, too.

Families with singers in more than one concert receive complimentary tickets to the second (and third) concert they attend after purchasing tickets to the first. Please let us know at the time you purchase your tickets that you wish to attend a subsequent concert.

When the Concert Ends
Please take note of where your singer is seated in the hall and go to them after the concert. Our youngest singers have been instructed to wait by their seats for their parents. This will hopefully alleviate some of the post-concert chaos and speed up the process of clearing the hall after each concert.

We still have volunteer slots open! Volunteers commit to arriving early and providing help to MYC staff and singer ensembles as needed while enjoying complimentary admission to the concert. Please consider lending a hand! Thank you!
Poinsettia Update
A good supply of red minis and singles remain along with a handful of pink plants. These are beautiful plants that will last well beyond the holidays!

Ordering is easy via the electronic ordering forms and families are credited $5/plant sold toward their fundraising contribution goal.

Please note: orders need to be received by the MYC office at least two business days before your desired delivery or pick up date so Felly's has time to prepare your order. Questions? Please ask!
Fruit Sale Pick Up Details
Fruit will be delivered on Saturday morning, December 10 at the back entrance of Westgate Mall (freight elevator location) off of Tokay Blvd.

If you are able to help with the load out or would like to volunteer to deliver the food pantry boxes to Middleton Outreach Ministry, please email Lynn. Volunteers are needed at 7am on Saturday morning for just a few hours.

Families who purchased fruit can pick up their orders between 8:30 and 10:30am.
December coffee orders will be ready for pick up on Friday afternoon, December 9, at the MYC office.
Coming in 2017: MYC Parent Resource Council
We are looking forward to further engaging our enthusiastic and talented pool of MYC parents in the new year through a new opportunity for involvement: the MYC Parent Resource Council. Watch for an initial meeting date to be published in January and be thinking about what perspectives and ideas you might bring to such a group to enhance and improve everyone's experience with MYC. Questions? Please ask!
