Please keep reading for all the details you need to know.
Wintry Wisconsin: Text Alerts
As the inevitable winter weather patterns begin to make their way toward Wisconsin, please be reminded that any MYC rehearsal or performance cancelation will be communicated to families in multiple ways: via email; our Facebook page; our website and text alerts via Remind.com. To sign up for these handy text alerts, please text the code assigned to your singer's ensemble (e.g., "@mycch" for Choraliers) to the number 81010:

Choraliers @mycch
Con Gioia @myccg
Capriccio @myccp
Cantilena @myccl
Cantabile @myccb
Purcell: @mycpc
Britten: @mycbr
Holst: @mychl
Ragazzi: @mycrz

With families spread across southern Wisconsin, we understand that weather and road conditions can be quite different throughout the area and recommend you make the best and safest decision for travel based on the weather conditions where you live. Please remember to always submit an absence form on-line if you are delayed or not able to travel to rehearsal.
Mid-Season Auditions Scheduled for Tonight!
Tell your friends! Auditions for students interested in joining MYC for our second semester (beginning January 7), will be held tonight, Thursday, November 9. Reservations are required and can be made by following the link below. Students must be in 5th-12th grade if auditioning for the boychoir and in 7th-12th grade if auditioning for our girlchoirs.
Concert Wardrobe
All scheduled fitting dates are now completed and we are in the process of acquiring the pieces needed for singers who completed their fittings in September and October. IMPORTANT: Everyone should have tried on their concert wardrobe by now and contacted the MYC office to get replacement items for anything that no longer fits. If you have NOT tried on your wardrobe, please do so today and be in touch with us ASAP if you need any replacement pieces.
Spring Semester Introductory Choir Registration
Registration is now open for our winter/spring sessions of introductory choir for students ages 7-10. Classes begin as early as January 13 (at our Monona location) as well as in February (Westgate location). Our Join a Choir page has all the details as well as a link to the registration portal. Thanks for passing this information along to interested friends and family!
Dress Rehearsal Time Change (Reminder) | Sunday, Dec. 3
Choraliers | Capriccio | Cantilena
Due to a scheduling conflict with First Congregational Church (our concert venue) the dress rehearsal times for Sunday, December 3, have been changed resulting in earlier start times for Choraliers, Capriccio and Cantilena. Please make a note of the updated rehearsal times listed below and let us know via the absence form of any conflicts. (We'll have many more details to share regarding our December concerts in the coming weeks.) Thank you for making a note of this time change on your calendar:

1:00 - 2:00PM Choraliers
2:00 - 3:15PM Capriccio
3:30 - 5:00PM Cantilena
Tuition Due in Full by November 14
Tuition statements were emailed last week to families with a balance due. Thank you for remembering the tuition payment deadline of November 14. As a reminder, checks may be dropped off at rehearsals in the Big Red Box or payments may be made by credit card via the PayPal link on our Members page. If you need your statement resent, please contact Lynn.
Poinsettia (Initial) Orders Due Tuesday, Nov. 14
Two ways to sell:

Hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, churches, real estate offices, hair salons, car dealerships, banks, jewelers, dentists, etc. are all good places to start. Think of places you frequent and simply ask in person, via email or over the phone if they are interested in purchasing poinsettias to benefit the Madison Youth Choirs. Be ready to share the business order form or the link to the electronic ordering form when you make contact. Read up on the details so you can answer any questions they might have.

Orders from family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers can be gathered and compiled by you or submitted via the electronic ordering form. When selling to individuals, we recommend one delivery or pick up date as deliveries with fewer than 10 plants will incur delivery charges. There is no cost for pick up.

Initial orders are due by November 14 for delivery or pick up the week of Thanksgiving (Tuesday or Wednesday, 11/21 or 11/22) and the week after Thanksgiving (Tuesday, 11/28 or Wednesday, 11/29). Ordering by November 14 also ensures best selection but we will keep selling until our stock is sold and alternate delivery/pick up dates are possible (just ask!).

Questions? Please ask!
November orders will be ready for pick up this weekend at rehearsals. December orders are due Monday, December 4. Families receive $5/unit sold toward their fundraising contribution goal.

Discount Coupons: A Madison Symphony Christmas
