CHRISTMAS PARTY! DECEMBER 5, 7:00 PM

Bring a White Elephant gift, $5 or less in value; and if you can, a snack to share. After the exchange, we'll spend a time at games OR go to Sights-n-Sounds of Christmas (Christ Chapel's treat), then more snacks and games.

BUT BEFORE THAT, THE LAST
BREAD + BELONGING OF 2019
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 5;30

As is our habit on the last Wednesday of the semester, we will have fresh baked bread and then enter the sanctuary for a service of prayer and healing. Various stations for reflection and opportunities to pray for healing will fill our time. Come join us for this meditative and restorative event.  No experience necessary!

 CONGRATULATIONS, CARTER!
Carter James Wiseman was   baptized and welcomed into the   family of God on Reformation   Sunday.  We rejoice with him. His   membership will be held at Peace   Lutheran in Austin.

Fun Fact: Next Fall will be the start of the
Twenty-Twenty-Twenty-Twenty-One school year.

 AND CONGRATULATIONS, ALLY!
A peer minister and a joyful light for   Christ Chapel, Ally Schlandt is   graduating on December 13th with   a Bachelor of Science       in Geography,  Resource, and   Environmental Studies. Next     stop? Graduate school.
Where? TBA.

One way Christ Chapel is present to the campus is through our table, parked 2-3 days each week by Texas State's famed Fighting Stallions statue. Come by and say hi to Chaplain Jaime, and get some Skittles while you're at it.

TO OUR FRIENDS AND ALUMNI

Christ Chapel's main constituents are college students, and most college students struggle with rent, tuition, and books. Money for food is often in short supply, which is why Christ Chapel's food ministry remains central to our work. Our weekly meals fed 80-120 students each week this past semester, with some students naming our Monday lunch as their only meal of the day.
Beyond our food ministry, Christ Chapel's presence means weekly worship on Wednesdays and Sundays, service projects, fellowship events, and leadership development, all designed to keep students alive in their faith and bearing our hope to the world. Indeed, we will be sending another alum to seminary this next Fall and many more back to congregations to serve as leaders and bring new energy to the church.
All of this is God's doing, of course, but your gifts help make God's doing happen. We invite you to make an end of the year gift or to consider a monthly recurring gift. It is easily set up through most bank accounts, or use our PayPal link at our website, christchapeltxstate.org. Of course, we would welcome a check to the address below. Thank you in advance for your gifts, and for your prayers and kind thoughts. We are truly blessed.
