Join Us in Rehearsal this Sunday
Our Zoom rehearsal rooms will be open to visitors this Sunday for our final week of rehearsals and we hope you will join us! We love sharing what we do at MYC and in a typical semester, parents (and friends, grandparents, etc.) would always be welcome to sit inside the rehearsal room to enjoy the music and the discussions. Our virtual rehearsals involve a bit more risk-taking for our singers and so we've encouraged families, up until now, to give space to their student during rehearsal--and you may still do that this Sunday by joining from a separate device in a different room in your house. Or, if it's ok with your singer, be in the same room with them. Either way, we hope to see many of you logging in on Sunday and we look forward to welcoming you to your singer's rehearsal room! P.S. If you have a grandparent or friend who is curious about what we do, feel free to share the link with them. We don't have unlimited seats, so this will be first-come, first-served (we don't anticipate running out of room, but just in case).
Next Semester Registration - Check Your Email!
It's time to renew your participation in MYC for second semester! Families received information via email last Friday (12/4) with all the details. Please let us know if you need that information resent to you or if you have any questions.
Our second semester of MYC begins Sunday, January 31 and will be a full 15-week experience for our singers ending on Sunday, May 23. It is our greatest hope that the public health directives may allow us to explore offering some in-person meetings in April or May but for now, we are planning a virtual semester with the same weekly schedule as the fall. We're looking forward to welcoming everyone back in January!
Welcoming New Singers in January
We will be holding virtual auditions for new singers (in grades 5-12) interested in joining MYC second semester on Sunday, January 10. Please tell your friends and direct them to the Join a Choir page on our website for more information.
For younger students, ages 7-10, our winter session of introductory choir begins on January 31 and registration is now open on our website. Thanks for helping us spread the word!
