Hello MYC Families!
We are interrupting your Tuesday morning with a special note of thanks to everyone who has signed up to host members of the Tallinn Boys Choir and to encourage those of you still considering to take the leap and sign up to open your home from Sunday, January 5 through Tuesday morning January 7, 2020. We need just 8 or 9 more MYC families to catch a vision for extending hospitality to these travelers from Estonia!
With our winter break just around the corner, we are hoping to finalize our host family roster this week. Hosting is open to the entire MYC community!
From Sunday, January 5, through Tuesday morning January 7, hosts provide:
- a place to sleep for two nights;
- dinner on Sunday;
- breakfast on Monday and Tuesday morning, sack lunches for the day
- transportation between Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (our designated meeting spot) and your home (see bottom for draft schedule).
Sunday, January 5, afternoon: Meet choir at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, bring your guests back to your home or go out for dinner. Overnight with host families.
Monday, January 6: After breakfast, drop off your guests at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.They have a full day of activities planned! Come back to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for the evening concert at 7:30pm and bring guests back to your house following the concert. **Boychoir members (Purcell, Britten, Holst, and Ragazzi) will have a 4:30pm call time with dinner and the concert on Monday.**
Tuesday, January 7: After breakfast, bring your guests to Good Shepherd for departure (with fond memories of their time in Madison--thanks to you!).
Thank you for considering this opportunity to extend hospitality and experience Estonian friendship inside your home. These cross-cultural exchanges are always meaningful and we thank you in advance for helping us provide the warmest of welcomes to the Tallinn Boys Choir in January. Questions? Please ask!
