BAYS

Great start to the fall season 2015 for all BAYS teams. This year we have 3rd grade teams competing in BAYS for the first time at DSSC. This gives us a total of 37 BAYS teams for Fall 2015. A fantastic representation of soccer talent for DS, and a huge thank you to coaches for making this possible.

Please make sure all players have collected uniform for this season and wear the DS jersey, shorts AND socks to all BAYS games. It is important we represent the town to the highest standards.

2ND GRADE

Our 2nd graders had their first ever games on a 'real field' with 'real referees'. We have welcomed over 40 new intramural referees to our program who shall be working with our 2nd grade program.
If any of your players do not have the new DS uniform please send the DOC an email and this shall be sorted and brought to practice this week.

Please note - all 2nd grade practices on a Tuesday (boys) and Thursday (girls) shall take place on field 2 and 3 at Laurel Farm. There are signs clearly in place. These sessions are lead and supported by Jamie from GPS.

PRE-K - 1ST GRADE

A fantastic start to our PreK-1st grade program this Sunday with a record 186 children playing at the DS High School fields. This fall marks the introduction of our Pre-K program, providing soccer for 3-4 year olds for the first time in DS. A huge thank you to all coaches - especially those of the PreK teams. I know what a challenge this can be! But also very rewarding!
If your team does not have uniform, let the DOC know and we will get this ready for next week.

Great opportunity for you to enter a team into the Natick Columbus Day tournament. The club will reimburse the cost for any team that enters. This is a town only tournament played at local facilities including Laurel Farm.
This does not have to be your BAYS registered roster, it can be any players for a particular age group who are part of DSSC.

The Importance of an effective warm up for your team.

BAYS coaches - always make sure your team arrive at least 30 minutes before kick off to begin warm up. The importance of warming up is often overlooked, but is vital in order to prepare players mentally and physically.

Check out the link below for an example of a pre game warm up.
