Remember in Prayer
We pray for boldness to go into our communities and invite our neighbors to worship with us. Through God’s word, water, bread and prayer, may we together be nurtured in faith and sent out restored into the world. More prayers...

Portico Enrollment Period Open
Nov. 2 – 30: Members make decisions about your ELCA benefits. Once you know your employer-provided health benefit option, you’ll decide whether to enroll in that option, buy up to a different option, or waive ELCA health benefits by providing proof of other valid health coverage. You’ll also make choices about tax-advantaged accounts, your ELCA retirement account, and life insurance.
ELCA World Hunger Lenten Resources
Watch your mailboxes in mid-November for the 2016 ELCA Word Hunger Lenten resource packet. 2016 is The Campaign for the ELCA's year of emphasis on ELCA World Hunger. A special Lenten initiative to raise $2 million by Easter Sunday with other Lutherans across the nation. Watch for those resources and together we'll make a difference in the struggle against hunger and poverty.

Lutherans, Catholics "on the way" to greater unity
Drawing on 50 years of national and international dialogue, Lutherans and Catholics have made available Oct. 30 Declaration on the Way: Church, Ministry and Eucharist – a unique ecumenical document that marks a pathway toward greater unity between Catholics and Lutherans.

"Five hundred years ago wars were fought over the very issues about which Lutherans and Roman Catholics have now achieved consensus," said the Rev. Elizabeth A. Eaton, presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. "Church, ministry and Eucharist have been areas of disagreement and even separation between our two churches, and we still have work to do both theologically and pastorally as we examine the questions. The declaration is so exciting because it shows us 32 important points where already we can say there are not church-dividing issues between us, and it gives us both hope and direction for the future," she said. Read the rest...
Nepal six months later
Two powerful earthquakes struck the country, with hundreds of aftershocks, killing more than 8,500 and leaving millions of people in need of humanitarian assistance. As a church, through Lutheran Disaster Response, we have been and will continue to respond to the immediate and long-term needs of the people of Nepal.

Lutheran Disaster Response works with an extensive network of partners who are actively engaged with communities on the ground. Within days after the first earthquake, we were able to respond to those affected. And six months later, we are still there, continuing our work with The Lutheran World Federation, Lutheran World Relief and United Mission to Nepal.

The Nepal: six months later resource provides stories and more detail into the immediate response and a look toward the long-term work being carried out.
