THANK YOU Linda Kerekes

Volunteer Linda Kerekes has decorated several rooms for us at Front Steps. She wants to make sure incoming residents have a nice and comfortable place to call home.

Art Therapy Program
Front Steps started collaborating with the ADAMHS (Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services) Board in January on our Art Therapy Program. Every Thursday both Front Steps residents and community members gather at Front Steps for lunch and an Art Therapy session instructed by a certified Art Therapist. The lunch allows participants an opportunity to socialize and establish relationships, while the Art Therapy session is used to strengthen and build on skills that explore creative expression for wellbeing, adaptive coping skills for sustainability of growth and development, and skills to manage traumatic stress. To date, the Art Therapy Program has conducted 37 sessions and has had over 90 participants. If you or someone you know may be interested in the Art Therapy Program, please contact Regina Spicer (Program Manager) at rspicer@frontstepsservices.org or 216.781.2250.

Dear friend,

As usual, it’s been pretty busy here at Front Steps. We’ve instituted some new programs (Art Therapy and Health and Wellness) and are gearing up for our 2nd Annual Home for All Ball, which is on Saturday, November 14.

Please read on to find out what else we have been up to. And, as always, we could not do any of it without the support of our community. Thanks for all you do! And, if you're looking for more ways to get involved with Front Steps, click here.

Workforce Readiness Graduation
Workforce Readiness Graduation occurred on July 31 with two graduates from the program, Pam and Donna. Both women completed the Workforce Readiness classes, mock interviews, and received their graduation certificate. They are now both looking for employment. Congrats to our graduates.

If you or someone you know is searching for employment, please contact our Employment & Education Coordinator, Kimberly Minton at 216.781.2250 or kminton@frontstepsservices.org.
AlexaArt Photography
Front Steps would like to thank AlexaArt Photography for donating their time and talent to do makeovers and take beautiful pictures of our residents. Residents not only received a special day of being pampered, but increased their confidence at the same time!
