Deviation Deadline is April 25!
If you are planning to travel with your singer after the festival, you must complete the deviation process with Gateway by April 25, 2016.  A deviation is any change to your singer’s return ticket and is allowed on the return flight only. There is a $50 deviation request fee and fare increases may apply.  Requests must be submitted, completed, and paid in full by April 25, 2016.  (This date is dictated by the ticketing schedule in place with KLM.) Please start this process today if you haven't already done so! Deviations are handled directly between you and  our travel vendor, Gateway, and their air consolidator but it's also helpful if the MYC office knows you have initiated this process. Please shoot us an email if you are submitting a deviation form. Thanks!

Please note: singers will be occupied with group events through Sunday, August 7, until 4pm. You may plan to pick up your singer in Aberdeen (at our Hillhead dormitory location) between 4 and 7pm on that day.

We will not know our daily schedule with the festival until this summer. For families making plans to travel to Scotland, you can assume that we will be performing somewhere in Aberdeenshire nearly every day between July 29 and August 6.
We thought it might be helpful to post links to the suggested shoe style we are recommending for Aberdeen. Because we will be doing a lot of walking every day and need a style that works well with both
our formal and informal concert attire, we suggest a black Mary Jane-- or ballet flat-- style with a supportive foot bed designed for walking. On-line outlets like Zulilly, Sierra Trading Post, 6PM, etc., will have more expensive brands at a discount. The Shoe Box in Black Earth or DSW would be great places to try on a variety of styles and brands. If you come across a shoe you especially like, please let us know and we'll pass it along to the group!

We are not recommending you purchase these exact shoes--these are just to give you an idea of what type of shoe we think would work best for this trip (without having to pack multiple pairs!).

Thank you to everyone who provided their input on our "sharp informal" tour wardrobe at our advisory meeting last month. We are working on finalizing the tour wardrobe and you can expect to receive (a lot!) more information at our May rehearsals.
Official Tour Garment Bag
We are excited to announce that all tour participants (including chaperones) will be receiving an official tour garment bag generously provided by an anonymous donor (who loves MYC!). Garment bags will be distributed later this summer but we wanted you to have this information now so you could check it off your shopping list. The bag you receive will be yours to keep forever and ever. :)

Please double-check that your singer's Gateway registration is complete with:
  • name exactly matching how it appears on passport
  • passport number is complete and up to date
  • passport expiration date is NOT within six months of our return date
  • food preference is specified (this is for your in-flight meals only); you will be asked to provide food preference/requirements again for our meals while in Scotland
