Welcome to our Question of the Week Email!
Monday, August 8, 2017
Dear --FNAME--,

It's unfortunate this year but our second vacation starts today - only a week after our first one.  This is what happens when you have two sons and they both live 1300 miles away, in opposite directions.  However, have no fear! Caitlin will have Remote Technical Support open from 9:00 a.m.-12 Noon and from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Emily will be answering the phone from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. those same days.  We'll be back Thursday, August 17th.  Of course, if you are a RTS PLUS customer, you have access to our special number in case of a computer emergency while we're away.

Remember, if you follow me on Social Media, you won't see any vacation pictures until we return.

Have an awesome week.

Next Seminar
Our summer hiatus continues! There will be no seminar in August.  But, we hope you'll join us on September 9, 2017 for our next seminar.  The subject is "First Computer Bug?" and it will be from 10:00 a.m.-12 Noon at Trinity United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach, FL.  (Click on the picture above to get directions, etc.)  You can find an outline of what we plan to cover by visiting our seminar page which you'll find HERE.
Make someone happy, send some unexpected flowers.
(Yes, if you click and buy, we are compensated - then WE can send some flowers!)

Question of the Week

Question:  "Last week, you told us about the acronym IoT.  Maybe you can help us with some of these acronyms that my kids send me in text messages.  For instance, what does BMOC mean? My son sent me that from college.  Haven't a clue! Help!"

Answer:  Ah, texting!  Everyone likes to use shortcuts when they text because it's less letters and words to type with our fingers.  There are TONS of texting acronyms (If you order our book, you'll get a list.)  As for this week's question, BMOC means "Big Man On Campus" which makes sense since this came from our customer's son who is a college student.
Just for the fun of it, here are a few more texting acronyms you might have sent to you:
KIT - Keep in touch
IMHO - In my humble opinion
LLAP - Live long and prosper (Think Spock and Star Trek)
RNN - Reply not necessary
UOK - Are you okay?
AFC - Away from the computer
BRB - Be right back

Keep your questions coming!  We love to share our answers with everyone.
