New Year's Message from
Bishop Eaton

It's 2017, another year behind us and a new year and many opportunities in front of us. It's time for all rostered leaders to update the Bishop on how things are going and current contact information by filling out the appropriate rostered leader form. It is also time for congregations to fill out the A&C forms or parochial reports. Please do so as soon as possible. These forms can be found here. Rostered leaders should click on the Synod tab at the top of the page. Special instructions for rostered leader reports, you must save the pdf form first, then fill it out saving as you go and then attach it to an email. If you don't follow these steps it will be blank when you send it in. Please email to Lynn or Bishop Prois. Thank you!!

The Ministry of Accompaniment
By Deacon Tammy Devine
ELCA Wellness Manager

"And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
My mother-in-law fell and broke her hip a few weeks before her 97th birthday. In pain and exhaustion, she called her children together and asked permission to die. She was ready and willing to let go and let God. She has lived a good and faithful life. We have been blessed. We assured her of our love, and that we would accompany her on this journey until she crosses the threshold from this life into eternal life.

Accompaniment is a gift. It reminds us that we do not go it alone. In times of challenge, having an emotional support system is invaluable. In times of change, having a .......more here.
