Riders Bring Hundreds of Bears to CSC

The Voodoo Misfits Van Buren and Berryville bike chapters held their 4th annual Teddy Bear Round-Up for the Children's Safety Center.

Riders dropped off hundreds of stuffed animals at the Center and Shawn Hoffman said this event "Brings the community together and brings awareness to child abuse, which needs to come to an end and the bears help comfort the kids that have been abused that come to the Safety Center,". Thanks to everyone that made this donation possible!

Black Friday - Cyber Monday - Giving Tuesday

The Children's Safety Center has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Please join the movement today and make your donation to the Children's Safety Center. Every dollar raised goes directly to the Center's programs for child abuse victims and stays right here in Washington County. Although Black Friday gets the most news coverage, there are countless people in our community who get more excited about making a difference than getting a discount. And that’s exactly what #GivingTuesday is all about! The nationwide campaign, which takes place on December 1, is the perfect time to give to your favorite charity, donate time to an important cause or raise awareness of an issue that matters.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if #GivingTuesday became even bigger than Black Friday here in Arkansas?  We will be doing our part in giving back to the Children's Safety Center. We hope you’ll do the same. Have fun and get creative by posting an #unselfie and reasons why you give. Don't forget to tag the CSC, @cscnwa

"It was like Christmas right out of Norman Rockwell, straight into the hearts of all aboard"

All aboard for this magical train ride! Children’s Christmas Train riders will depart from the Emma Street Train Depot in Springdale on Saturday, December 5th aboard a restored 1940s era train. The 40 minute ride to Johnson and back will include carolers, stories, and even a visit from Santa himself! After returning to the Train Depot families can enjoy holiday games and entertainment – ride ponies dressed as reindeer, operate a model train, participate in the cake walk, write a letter to Santa or just enjoy the characters and music in Santa's Village. Children and families are also encouraged to dress in “ugly Christmas sweaters” and Holiday attire.

Children 3 years of age and under do not require a ticket but will have to sit on your lap, $10 for ages 4-12, and $20 for adults. Get your tickets early because this event will sell out!
