Advent Photo Challenge
Each day on Facebook the Synod is posting a daily photo and Advent devotional. Please join along with us on spending time in the Word and in prayer during this Advent season. Each day has a theme word/topic and a Bible passage to accompany it. We encourage you to take a picture interpreting what that theme word means to you and post it to social media with the hashtags #pictureadvent and #inthistogether. Don't forget to tag us @seiasynod on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

Martin Luther: Art and the Reformation
Five hundred years ago, one man took a stand that shook Europe and changed the world. Now you can see the story of Martin Luther and the Reformation brought to life through astonishing artworks and historical objects, traveling outside of Germany for the first time ever. Luther used art and the newly invented printing press to challenge Europe's leaders and spread a revolution of religious, cultural, and societal change. This exhibition includes paintings, sculptures, gold, textiles, and works on paper - as well as Luther's personal possessions and recent archaeological finds - that shed new light on an explosive era and the man who ignited it.

This exhibit is open now through January 15, 2017, at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
