Swimming Pools are Open!


Both Park Forest Community Pool and William L. Welch Community Pool opened on Saturday, May 27th and will remain open through Monday, September 4th! Get your pool passes HERE today to join in on the fun!
 
 
Touch-A-Truck
Bring the kids out for an exciting afternoon of big trucks, dump trucks, fire trucks, and much more! Your kids will be able to climb, touch, and investigate during this hands on experience! This free event is Saturday, June 17th from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm in the Mount Nittany Middle School parking lot.
 
 
 
Come Enjoy the Wibit
The Wibit is fun and safe inflatable in-pool obstacle course that will be up for use this summer at both Park Forest and Welch pools. It's location will alternate between the pools with its first appearance on Friday, June 16th at Park Forest. It will be up on Fridays and Saturdays only throughout the summer with it's last weekend being August 11. 
 
 
 
 
July Is Parks and Recreation Month
This July, discover the power of play and adventure.  For children and adults, play is a vital part of our mental well being, physical health and personal interactions. To celebrate Parks and Recreation Month, CRPR will be offering a variety of outdoor activities during the month of July. These offerings will be listed on the CRPR Facebook page as well as the July Newsletter! 
 
 
 
Upcoming Bus Trips
 
 
Sight & Sounds presents:
Jonah
Wednesday, July 19th
8:00am-6:00pm

Set sail on a journey into the depths of one of the biggest bible stories ever told! Join Centre Region Parks and Recreation on a trip to the Sight and Sound in Lancaster. After the show wraps up, we will head to Shady Maple Smorgasboard for a buffet meal. This trip is open to those 8 years of age and older. Deadline to register is June 23.
 
 
 
 
Seneca Lake Wine Tour
Sunday-Tuesday, October 1-3

Join CRPR as we board a motor-coach and head to Geneva, NY and Seneca Lake for three days and two nights. This trip includes two nights hotel accommodations, two breakfasts at your hotel, lunch during a Seneca Lake Boat Cruise, two wine dinners, and wine tastings along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail! Cost is $561/double occupancy or $682/singer occupancy. Register by calling CRPR at 231-3071. Deadline to register is August 25.
