$1,550 raised for Food Bank

With our friends from UCM and Susie "The Viking Goddess" Mullen, Christ Chapel made hundreds of home-made Valentine's Day cards, which we then sold on the Quad. We raised $1,550 for the Hays County Food Bank.  The thank-you note from the Food Bank says our work provided 1,194 meals for hungry clients in Hays County.  A sample of our work is pictured here.
God Goes to the Movies - March 23, 7:00
"Arrival" starring Amy Adams

When twelve mysterious spacecraft appear around the world, linguistics professor Louise Banks is tasked with interpreting the language of the apparent alien visitors. Most movies starring linguistic professors would have some trouble gaining traction, but this is a fascinating and engaging movie that makes us question the nature of language, meaning, and life's purpose.  We'll watch the movie and then talk about the theological themes we find.  Join us downstairs in the Christ Chapel Lounge at 7:00 on March 23rd.  Popcorn will be provided.
Dr. JoAnne Smith, Vice-President for Student Affairs

Bread + Belonging, our weekly gathering that starts with fresh-baked bread, will include on March 29th a conversation with Dr. JoAnne Smith, Vice-President for Student Affairs.  Dr. Smith is a lively force for good on our campus and we look forward to welcoming her.
