Runway Lighting Project

A construction project is underway to improve lighting and navigational aids on the primary (North/South) runway. All arrivals and departures are now using secondary runways, changing overhead aircraft traffic patterns. The project, the final phase of a two-year runway upgrade, will improve airfield lighting with new, energy-efficient LED lighting and navigational aids. These systems will improve the ability of aircraft to land during all types of inclement weather.  The project will not impact arrivals or departures.  The runway is expected to re-open by September 1st.
