♦ The Reggio Emilia Committee recently held a fun and informative evening about  wine and cheese Bird Café.
 
 
 
♦ Registration is open for the Christkindl Market Exchange to Germany & Luxembourg in December 2016. Click here to register.
 
 
 
♦ 17 students and 2 Delegation Leaders will travel to Japan in June.
​ 8 Harashin scholars and 2 Delegation Leaders will travel to Japan in August.​
♦Sister Cities leadership will travel to Nagaoka in August to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Harashin program.

 
 
 
​​♦ The Bandung Committee is planning for a possible visit from  the Bandung Vice Mayor in July. Email beth@fwsistercities.org to get involved in the planning.
 
 
 
♦ Hungarian Ambassador to the U.S. Reka Szemerkényi visited Fort Worth May 5-8. While here, she spoke at Fort Worth Rotary Club on May 6.
 
 
 
♦ Mayor Price, along with Toluca Chair Anette Soto, Mike Hyatt, Michael Jacobsson, Bob Jameson, Julie Johncox, and Mae Ferguson, will visit Toluca in June to meet new Mayor Zamora “and discuss ways to strengthen the ties between the two cities.”
 
 
 
♦ Sister Cities is partnering with the Fort Worth Rotary Club on a possible wheelchair exchange to Swaziland in 2017.  Stay tuned.
 
 
 
♦ 7 students, 2 Delegation Leaders, and 1 Associate Delegation Leader will travel to Guiyang, China in June.
♦ Mayor Pro Tem Sal Espino will lead a group of 20 to Guiyang in June to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the relationship.
 
 
 
♦ The youth group met in April to elect new officers for  the 2016-2017 school year. Congratulations to newly elected President Harry Thomas, Vice President Sam DeRobertis, and all our other outstanding officers!
 
 
 
♦This summer's interns include Emily Gibson, Cole Harper, Morgan Kaminski, Alex Patershuk, Sam Silindza, Katie Super, Sarah Tahri, Holly Wright, and Betty Xie. Thank you for all your service to Fort Worth Sister Cities. We couldn’t do what we do without you! ​
