This method lends itself especially well to working on a small surface. For example, the encaustic painters of Greece, who developed this process, seldom made pictures larger that the average head.

Collage is an exciting way to break through the  barriers and fears to do what our hearts and heads would like to do. It allows for the integration of memories, collected ephemera, abstract and       emotional concepts, and their communication that goes beyond the mere representation of a specific event or memory. Participants will learn what and how to select materials that can be collaged or assembled into a piece of artwork.  Understanding adhesives and how they work with various materials is critical to the process and ultimate   design.
