Pacific Area PPL Chapter forges partnerships and a Virginia church plans meeting on July 31st to renew their PPL Chapter

This report by Amy Scherschligt of Pacific Area Chapter of PPL
Did you know that 20% of abortions in the US occur in California, home to over 150 abortion facilities and liberal abortion laws. Yet grassroots pro-life organizations abound in this large, diverse state with over 150 pregnancy help centers, coordinated prayer efforts and outreach to Hispanics which are 39% of our population. The challenge: How to unite all these efforts and more to build a culture of life? (Read more)

Last month the drug manufacturer, Pfizer, stated that their company would begin blocking use of any of their drugs in cases of capital punishment. In choosing to do this, Pfizer has joined a growing list of drug companies taking this step. Pfizer's official statement included this comment, according to one new source I read: "Pfizer makes it products to enhance and save the lives of the patients we serve."

On Saturday, September 10, 2016, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Priests for Life and the Pro-Life Action League will co-sponsor the fourth annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, calling on pro-life Americans to honor the gravesites of our aborted brothers and sisters.

Editor's Note: So much violence has rocked our country and the world this summer. The headlines are filled with the names and stories of the dead and the angry accusations of injustice and the scent of fear. Words have filled the internet, the newspapers, magazines and airwaves but only a few have remembered the 3-4 thousand tiny lives killed each day by abortion. PPL mourns them all--so much waste of God's great gift of life! What is left to say except, "Lord, have mercy on us! Father God, bring comfort to those who mourn! Lord Jesus come quickly!"

Sometimes the happy occasion of a prenatal ultrasound suddenly isn’t.

South Carolina expectant parents, Keith and Katherine Brown, learned that their first pregnancy was complicated by a prenatal diagnosis when abnormalities were detected during an anatomy scan at nineteen weeks gestation.

The 222nd General Assembly of the PCUSA took place in Portland, Oregon, June 18-25. Presbyterians Pro-Life gave witness to Jesus Christ and the value of human life through our exhibit booth and our Assembly news, Daily Delivery. We provided assistance as we were able to commissioners through nightly meetings and testimony in committees. Our PPL GA team was 10 strong, comprised of board members and volunteers. Each day began with team prayer and ended in prayer with a small band of courageous commissioners committed to making God-honoring, Bible-based decisions in an assembly more welcoming to a Muslim cleric who prayed for Allah's blessing and to the LGBTQ community than to theologically orthodox, evangelical, pro-life Presbyterians.
