WELCOME, WELCOME BACK!

Let's Get Started Right

Starting Wednesday, August 30th, and every Wednesday night afterwards, we'll gather at 5:30 for Bread + Belonging, a worship service we always begin with fresh-baked bread and butter. We're usually done by about 6:15 and sometimes go out for dinner together afterwards.  ALL NEW STUDENTS GO OUT TO DINNER FOR FREE THE FIRST TIME THEY VISIT!

SUNDAY NIGHTS, TOO!

Free Supper After Worship on September 3rd

Thanks to our good friends at First Lutheran, we'll have a home-cooked meal immediately after our 5:30 worship service.

About our worship... it is casual but dignified.  If you like to play an instrument, you're encouraged to bring it.   Expect a joyful time.

RETREAT!  September 15-17

Wessendorff Ranch Can't be Beat

Join us for a weekend of agenda-less retreating at a beautiful Hill Country ranch about 30 miles from campus.  The quiet and beauty of the place is good for the soul, the games and exploring the property is good for the heart, and the food is good for the tummy.  We'll carpool from Christ Chapel on Friday the 15th at 5:00 p.m. and return on Sunday by 11:00 a.m.  Cost: $20, payable on or before Wednesday the 13th. We do accept credit and debit cards.  Plan on bringing your favorite board games and your own linens/pillow/towel.

What Else is Going On?

Higher Grounds Coffee House is up and running Monday through Friday, 8:30-12:30.  Free, organic, fair-trade,  shade-grown coffee (and tea, too!)  Volunteers to staff it are always welcome.

Our free Bobcat Lunch begins on September 11; join us for a meal and get help with groceries through the Hays County Food Bank, which distributes food at our location each week.

Noontime Pause for Prayer: Every Thursday at 12:00, we spend 15 minutes in song and prayer.  Join us around the altar for a quick refreshing of your soul.

Feeding the Homeless at Southside Community Center on Labor Day, September 4. Yes, even on holidays the homeless are hungry, and it is our habit to feed them on the first Monday of each month. Meet at 518 S. Guadalupe in the back of the property at 4:15 to help get the meal ready and to greet and serve the guests.

Coming Soon: God Goes to the Movies, Jesus on Tap, Servants of the Cross, other service projects, and more.
