Thank You!
We couldn't be more proud of our singers for the ways they displayed artistry, focus and, most notably, enjoyment in their performances on Sunday. Seeing the progression of confidence, friendships and musical thinking from the first rehearsal of the semester to concert day is always breathtaking. Thank you, singers and families, for making a commitment to your rehearsals and the MYC community!

Request for Photos
As we prepare to send final reports to our concert sponsors and begin planning for future press releases and grant applications, we would love to start collecting any good quality photos you may have taken of our Winter Concert rehearsals and performances. Your photography work really helps us tell the story of MYC's accomplishments to the community, and we are so grateful for the photo contributions you've made so far this year. We will be sure to credit you for any photos we use in publications or grant reports. Please send photos to Nicole. Thank you!

Madison Boychoir Festival
Just reminding members of Purcell, Britten, Holst and Ragazzi of our big boychoir festival shebang happening on Saturday, January 30, in which you play host to hundreds of fellow singers from all over Madison and southern Wisconsin. Please be reminded:

  • This is on your calendar;
  • it's a required event (please plan ahead!);
  • we need to hear from you via the on-line absence form if you have an immovable, unavoidable conflict;
  • MYC singers DO NOT need to register; we are already planning you will be participating (see above!)

This is not only an amazing day for our singers and the community; it's an amazing day filled with logistical victories made possible by our excellent volunteers--YOU! Please look for the opportunity to volunteer via SignUp Genius in early January. Thank you!

Auditions for New Singers
Just two slots remain for our mid-season auditions on Wednesday, January 6. If you know someone interested in joining us in January, please direct them to our Join a Choir page to reserve an audition time. Auditions are open to singers in 5th - 12th grade.

Spring Introductory Choir
For students ages 7-10, new sessions of introductory choir begin mid-February and registration is now open on our website under the Join A Choir tab. Completing introductory choir is the first step toward joining a year-long choir for singers this age.

See You in the New Year!
The MYC office will be closed after Friday, December 18, through the holidays. We are back in the office, bright and early, on Monday, January 4. (Do you have anything to pick up in the MYC office? Please see us before Friday!)

You can expect to receive Weekly Notes in your inbox on Thursday, January 7. We  return to our regular rehearsal schedule on Sunday, January 10 and Monday, January 11. We expect each ensemble will have some new faces as well as we begin the second half of our 2015-16 season!

Thank you for being part of our MYC community! We wish you all the very best for a wonderful time with family and friends over the break. See you in the New Year!
