Augustana College Choir: Saturday Night!
All MYC families (and the general public) are invited to Saturday's concert (7:00pm at Luther Memorial Church). Ragazzi/Cantabile open the concert and then the Augustana College choir will perform. FREE and open to the public (donations taken at the door).

Ragazzi/Cantabile: Remember that rehearsal begins PROMPTLY at 4:00pm. Bring your music and full concert wardrobe (and food if you have special dietary needs).

Host families: We will gather at the church immediately following the concert to connect you with your singers. Singers need to be returned either to the church at 7:15am or to Westgate at 7:45am on Sunday morning. Thanks for all of your help!
MYC Parent Resource Council
We are looking forward to further engaging our enthusiastic and talented pool of MYC parents in 2017 through a new opportunity for involvement: the MYC Parent Resource Council. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, February 21, at 6pm at Westgate and all are welcome! Our goal is to improve and enhance everyone's experience with MYC and we're looking forward to the valuable perspective and ideas YOU might bring to such a group. We promise this first meeting will be under one hour and informational only--showing up does not mean you are committing to anything. Please consider attending! Questions? Please ask!
Hide and Seek: Cracking the Musical Code T-Shirts!
To celebrate our semester theme, we are pleased to offer a commemorative T-shirt! Shirts are a super-soft tri-blend and are available in youth, unisex and women's sizes. Ordering deadline is Friday, February 17. T-shirts will be delivered to rehearsals in early March.

Shirts are $12-15, depending upon size.

Madison Marathon (Run Mad Town) and Brat Fest Fundraising Opportunities
Both of these events take place Memorial Day Weekend and provide wonderful opportunities to raise money for Madison Youth Choirs (and make advanced progress toward your 2017-18 family fundraising contribution!).

Spring Introductory Choir
Please tell your friends! For students ages 7-10, new sessions of introductory choir begin mid-February and registration is now open on our website under the Join A Choir tab. Our Sunday class for girls is full but we still have seats available in each of the other sessions: Sunday class for boys; Tuesday combined class for girls and boys; and Saturday morning class for girls and boys held in Monona at Lake Edge Lutheran Church. Completing introductory choir is the first step toward joining a year-long choir for singers this age. Thanks for helping us spread the word!

Our final and most important fundraising campaign of the season is underway!

Singers received information packets at rehearsal last weekend. If you were absent, your packet will be waiting for you at rehearsal this weekend. (Or feel free to drop by the office and pick it up).

What To Do This Week:
Read through the packet with your singer and make a plan.

Bring your signed Golden Ticket to rehearsal this weekend.
It's a treat week!

Our goal is 100% participation!
It's MYChoir (IMC) is both a fundraising campaign and an opportunity for members and staff to share with the wider community the importance of music education and the benefits it provides. Because tuition alone covers less than 50% of the total cost of each singer's enrollment, fundraising is a necessary part of MYC membership. We count on families to fully participate and meet their $200 family fundraising goal each year to help cover the tuition gap. Thank you for participating!
