“Children are happy because they don’t have a file in their minds called ‘All the Things that Could Go Wrong.’” – Marianna Williamson

We wish all children were able to live this carefree in their childhood, but unfortunately this is not always the case. Child abuse haunts many children and families. Most feel it can’t happen to us or people we know, but we are wrong! Child abuse is happening everywhere and to those we know whether they speak about it or not. While we may not be aware of what is happening, The Children’s Safety Center is there to help these children and their families.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Dream Big Charity Gala. In the last 10 years the Children’s Safety Center has helped over 6,000 child abuse victims and their families. Let us repeat that, over 6,000 children! The CSC is able to provide FREE programs for these children through the support of you and this gala. Unlike many events in the area, every dollar we raise stays local to support children in our community. Last year’s gala alone helped 137 children. The CSC is already seeing an increase in the number of cases this year and they need our help now more than ever. The CSC provides forensic interviews, medical examinations, advocacy, and therapy for these children, but more importantly, they remind them to continue to DREAM BIG.

As Co-Chairmen of the Dream Big Charity Gala, we would like to thank all the committee members, volunteers and staff who have worked tirelessly to put on this amazing event. Without them none of this would be possible, to see these amazing people in action is awe-inspiring and thank you doesn’t seem quite enough.

On behalf of the Children’s Safety Center, we would like to thank you for your attendance and support of the 10th annual Dream Big Charity Gala! The only way the CSC is able to provide support to their children and families is with YOUR help and donations.

Have an amazing time, give generously, and remember that every child, whether big or small, deserves to DREAM BIG!

Sincerely,

Kara Dearien - Walmart & Sarah White – Saatchi & Saatchi X
