Cantilena at Wisconsin Science Festival
Cantilena’s performance with Dr. Bassam Shakhashiri, as part of the grand finale event of the Wisconsin Science Festival, is this SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5. Thank you for paying attention to all the details below and supporting your singer's contribution to this unique collaboration!

Our performance is at the Wisconsin Institutes of Discovery (WID) (330 N. Orchard St.) on the UW-Madison campus. Please take a moment to study the map and consider your parking options (there are many!) so you have a good plan for being on time.

Once inside the WID, please report directly to the H.F. Deluca Forum. (Click for floor plan.)

Call time is 1:00pm to allow enough time in the venue before the doors open to the public. That means singers should be in the room, ready to sing right at 1pm. Thank you for paying attention to this detail and for your flexibility. Cantilena’s performance will be during Dr. Shakhashiri's Science is Fun presentation between 2 and 3:30pm. This event is free and open to the public and Cantilena members will sit together as part of the audience when not performing.

Immediately following the performance, Cantilena members will need to go directly to their rehearsal at Westgate Studios. We’ll rehearse 4-5:00pm (shorter than originally scheduled due to rehearsal room conflicts) that night. As always, if your singer is not able to attend rehearsal, please submit an absence form.

A celebratory snack will be provided before rehearsal begins at Westgate. As always, if you are concerned about food sensitivity or allergies, please plan to provide a quick snack for your singer.

What to Wear
Singers should wear their red MYC polo with jeans, slacks or a modest skirt.

Required Performance
This event is required and we expect each Cantilena member to be part of this performance unless we have already heard from you regarding your immovable, unavoidable conflict.

We are excited to be contributing to this fantastic festival and look forward to Cantilena’s performance with Dr. Shakhashiri. We know they will represent MYC in the best possible way! Thanks for your help in getting singers where they need to be for both performance & rehearsal this weekend.
