Next Season with MYC
What will next season hold for our special community of singers?

We're not quite sure yet! But we are planning for several possible scenarios and remain hopeful that we could still gather in some way this year. We are very mindful of the concerns around singing in particular that have emerged as scientists continue to study COVID-19 and how it's transmitted, but there is a lot of time between now and the fall and we want to be prepared for all possibilities!
To that end, we are far enough along in our planning that it's time to hear from you. Next week, we will be sending invitations, along with choir placement information, to our current singers asking for an indication of interest in returning to MYC. Hearing from you will help us immensely as we consider what's possible for next year. We won't be asking for any financial commitment at this time--just your level of interest in staying in touch with us and being in the loop for what comes next. Thank you in advance for replying when that email arrives and letting us know how you are thinking about MYC and your involvement for next season. We're looking forward to hearing from you and seeing what unfolds for all of us in the coming months!

Related to next season, please mark your calendars for our final Facebook live event of this season on Sunday afternoon, June 7, at 4:30pm. (Gather the family and have the tissues ready--we have something very special to share with you!)

Family Opera Day Online this Saturday
Join Opera for the Young for a day of opera, singing, and musical fun! You'll enjoy Pirate activities led by little om BIG OM, the Madison Children's Museum, and Madison Youth Choirs, and hear candid interviews with the 2019/2020 cast. Each session will culminate in a full performance of OFTY's "The Pirates of Penzance".

A morning session will be broadcast at 10AM followed by an afternoon session at 1PM this Saturday, May 31, on OFTY's Facebook and YouTube pages. Pull out your pirate gear and join the fun from your living room!

Brat Fest Continues--Still Time to Snag a T-shirt

No actual food will be sold, but the online event which began last Friday, May 22, and goes through Sunday, June 1, is designed to benefit the hundreds of non-profits, including MYC, who have traditionally supplied volunteers for the weekend festival. You can check out all the options for taking part--including snagging a commemorative T-shirt--on their webpage: Virtual Brat Fest or Facebook page.

Thank you, Everyone! Please have a wonderful week taking care of yourself and all those around you! (We still miss you.)
