Looking Ahead to Our Legacy Spring Concerts at the Capitol Theater
Saturday, May 11, 7:30PM | Purcell, Britten, Holst, Ragazzi, and Legacy Choir
Sunday, May 12, 3:30PM | Choraliers, Con Gioia, Capriccio, Cantilena, Cantabile, and     Legacy Choir
Sunday, May 12, 7:30PM | Cantilena, Cantabile, and Ragazzi

In just about four weeks, our singers will be sharing the culmination of their work this semester on the theme of Legacy at our spring concerts in the Capitol Theater (Overture Center for the Arts). As we move through April, schedules become increasingly hectic and so we encourage you to do a few things this week to prepare for May:

Please review your singer's calendar so you're aware of the required dress rehearsal details and call times at the Capitol Theater that weekend. We'll be providing more detailed instructions related to arrival and parking closer to the event.

Concert Wardrobe
Thank you for double-checking that your singer's concert wardrobe still fits. Trying on wardrobe this week and letting Ian know of any issues allows us enough time to make adjustments, if necessary.

Ticket Information
Concert tickets are available through the Overture Center Box Office, 201 State Street, at any time in advance of our concert weekend or on concert day. The most economical way to purchase tickets is in person to avoid online surcharges.

Tickets are $15/adults and $7.50/students. Children under 7 are free but a ticket is still required (Please visit the Overture Center Box Office). Seating is General Admission.

Attending more than one concert? Two or three concerts may be purchased for the same inclusive price ($15/adult and $7.50/student) but must be purchased in person at the Box Office. This discount is NOT available online.

IMPORTANT: MYC singers wishing to attend a concert in which they do NOT sing, may do so free of charge but we need to know IN ADVANCE. Singers: please make your complimentary ticket request via the Google form linked below. All MYC singer ticket requests must be submitted by Friday, April 26. We will have your ticket for you at your final rehearsal.
Reserving Your Seat for Next Season:
    Intention Forms Due April 29
Intention forms were distributed at rehearsals last weekend and will be emailed to families as a follow up on Friday.  With many of our ensembles nearing their capacity, we want to make sure every current singer who wishes to continue with MYC has their seat reserved for next season BEFORE we hear any NEW singers audition. Seat reservations are made by returning the intention form along with a $50 tuition deposit to MYC by April 29. Deposits are fully refundable through July 12. Thank you for carefully reading through this information and contacting us with any questions.
MYC Intergenerational Choir in Concert this Friday

It's time to get on the bus! Our spring outreach tour days are fast approaching (see calendar reminders below) and we are looking forward to performing for thousands of Dane County residents who have invited us to their school or retirement home.

            What Happens on Tour Day?
Each tour begins and ends at Westgate Mall and is a full day of making music, forging friendships, and building memories together--this day is always remembered as a highlight of the MYC experience for our singers. Thank you for excusing your singer from school to participate in this important community outreach event. We assume each singer is participating as everyone is important to the ensemble: please make sure you have taken note of your singer's tour day and have communicated the absence to your school. If you need a written explanation for the absence, we have provided a brief description linked below.

The hours worked volunteering at the festival contribute directly to your MYC fundraising total for next year. (This is a fantastic and fun way to get a jump start on next season's fundraising!) Congratulations and Thank You!
$38,177 was raised by just 162 participating singers! Thank you to those who embraced the campaign with enthusiasm and with your compelling appeals. We appreciate every letter, email, phone call, and Facebook post. To those participating for the first time--thank you for diving in with gusto!

Purcell raised over $4,800 and led every ensemble in participation--over 60%! Congratulations to Purcell!

We also want to recognize the impressive results of the following "top ten" individuals/siblings whose efforts in sharing their MYC stories beyond their immediate families resulted in donation totals ranging from $600 to $1068!
