RealSource - The Board of Directors implemented a Strategic Plan in 2015 and we have worked diligently to accomplish these goals. We have achieved a significant number of the goals we are now planning to write RealSource’s Strategic Plan for the next 3 years. We will be reaching out to the entire membership for their input. We have some ongoing goals and we constantly strive to meet the. Our Strategic Goal # 2 is “RealSource will improve its presence and promote the value of Realtor© in the Communities they serve.” Last week the Community Service Committee hosted the Beef Steak Dinner and they raised in excess of $11,000.00 which money will be used towards our contributions to local charities. The YPN Committee had 26 Realtors and Affiliates prepare meals for Family Promise of Hackensack to #FightHunger. That afternoon the committee served over 130 individuals. Both Committees have made great strides in raising awareness of Realtors contributions to the community.

National Association of Realtors- The Annual Legislative Meetings are taking place in Washington DC the week of May 15th. NAR as well as RealSource Leadership will be meeting with legislators to discuss national issues including Tax Reform (deductibility of real estate taxes, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, the overall importance of homeownership to the US Economy), National Flood Insurance and the Protection of Sustainable Homeownership.

Beware of Possible Phishing Attempt

NAR is warning members and REALTOR® associations not to open attachments or click links in an email they may receive that appears to come from NAR but was not sent by the association. The bogus email, which has “Important Updates to Database” as its subject, asks the recipient to open a file described as a list of members. Anybody who receives the message should delete it.
