Conference of Bishops Stance...
The Conference of Bishops of the ELCA continues to stands with
and holds up in prayer the people of Venezuela during the current multifaceted crisis within their nation. We care about the consequences of this crisis as already felt in neighboring countries and about its wider impact on international peace and security. Read more at Chile - 2019 Conference of Bishops Statement/Venezuelan Crisis.

Tanzania at a Glance...
  • The school continues to have a very good reputation and could admit more students, but the campus dorms and classrooms are maxed out.Girls school is at capacity with roughly 320 girls attending.
  • CAD is having a promising year growing tea. They have also raised maize on a couple of acres and with prices strong looking forward to a good return.
  • The well water team is doing a good job. Ten wells were budgeted for and to date seven wells have been attempted. Five have been successful and two ran into rock and didn't produce. The final three wells should be drilled by the end of November.
  • SACCOS are doing well in the Southern Diocese. Money from WIS was forwarded to Iranga Hope to strengthen the current sites.
