PORTICO
With just days left until the Oct. 30th Employer Selection deadline, some congregations still haven’t submitted their ELCA-Primary health benefit option for next year. All organizations that currently sponsor a plan member (pastor or other staff members) are required to submit a health benefit election, even if they want to keep their current health benefit option. If any congregation can’t meet the Oct. 30 deadline, they need to call us immediately at 800.352.2876. If you have questions about 2016 Annual Enrollment, please visit the Annual Enrollment Center on EmployerLink. I also invite you to contact me directly at reichelberger@PorticoBenefits.org or 612.752.4062. Thank you for your partnership during 2016 Annual Enrollment. Together, we’re helping our organizations and leaders steward their ELCA benefits wisely. Peace, Ross Eichelberger Portico Benefit Services | A Ministry of the ELCA

Thankfulness Events
Here is what Derald Goetz had to say about the event, "This Thankfulness Event brought some awareness as to the many programs that are being supported though our mission efforts when giving to the ELCA. For me personally it was a reminder that we are part of a bigger church and there are many good things that are being accomplished through our joint efforts. Thank you everyone on the WIS mission team for sharing all those “good” things that are being done. It was something that I needed to hear. God's mission is good." Derald A. Goetz First Lutheran Church, Algona, IA
Come and join us on November 5th at First Lutheran in Sioux City from 6 PM -8 PM for the next Thankfulness event! Grab a friend and bring a potluck dish to share and we'll look forward to seeing you all there!

RALLY TOGETHER
Dear friends, As many of you know the issues of food insecurity are close to my heart after spending years helping direct ELCA World Hunger. In 1960 President John F Kennedy stated that hunger was a problem we can fix. Fifty-five years later we continue to try.
The following is an invitation to a gathering in Des Moines on November 8, sponsored by the major faith communities of Iowa, that will show our willingness to stand together to end hunger. Please plan to join me at Grand View University.
