TIM HULL:LEAVES IN THE STREAM
October 7, 2017, @ 6-9pm

Yakima Maker Space is pleased to present artist Tim Hull. Mr. Hull was born and raised in Yakima, and grew up enjoying outdoor adventures with his family: Skiing, camping, hiking and hunting. Tim developed a love for the Pacific Northwest and especially the Yakima River watershed. He dreamed of cataloging the rich diversity of the individual valleys that make up the Yakima Valley. Tim started his photographic journey in high school with a small film camera borrowed from his Dad. Now digital technology has given him the tools to realize his dream. Tim lives in Yakima with his wife Shelly and works in Yakima’s vibrant fruit industry.

11 - 4 pm

Janice Crocker and Debbie Sundlee are two Yakima potters who have explored the possibilities of smoke-fired pottery, and their work will be on display at the Boxx Gallery in Tieton this month. They use alternative firing methods that could be described as using techniques other than traditional glazes to create unusual finishes on their pottery. Boxx Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Crocker and Sundlee will be there to discuss their work and introduce their approach to alternative finishes on pottery. The exhibit will continue through Oct. 28. Read the full article here.
