Congratulations and Thank You!
This past weekend at the Capitol Theater was truly remarkable. We could not be more proud of our singers or more grateful to our MYC families for your commitment and the immense support you provided in making a weekend like this happen--thank you! Today we are celebrating the indelible outcomes and collective memories of an amazing concert series and a meaningful MYC season--thank you for celebrating with us!

What happens now? See below for all the end-of-season housekeeping items.

Audition Reservations
Please reserve your audition time if you haven't already done so. You are eligible to audition if you have returned your intention form with deposit (indicating you wish to audition) and have reached the minimum grade level for the next level performing choir. Please click here for more information.

Tell Your Friends About MYC
Now is the time to let your friends know about either auditioning for a performing choir (grades 5-12) or enrolling in a summer introductory choir session (ages 7-10). All the information they need is on our website under the Join A Choir tab.

Timeline for 2019-20 Placements and Registration
Singers who have notified us via the intention form that they wish to continue singing with us next year will receive an invitation to return to MYC for our 2019-20 season via email in early June. Tuition and registration forms will be due by mid-July and our season begins again in September! The season calendar will be included when invitations are sent in early June.

If you have not yet notified us that you wish to sing next season, it's not too late to reserve your seat. Please return your intention form or shoot us an email if you need it resent.

Turning in Wardrobe
ALL singers NOT returning next season: Please launder your MYC concert wardrobe and red polo, and return all items clearly labeled with your name to the MYC office. (No need to call ahead--if we're not here, items may be left by the office door.) Please turn in before May 31. (Cantabile, Ragazzi, Con Gioia, and Holst members all have events this month--please turn in after your final event if you are not singing with us next season.)

Everyone else: please hang on to your current wardrobe until choir placements are made for next season.

Turning in Music
All music should be removed from your singer's binder and returned to the MYC office. (Most has been returned--please double-check to see if your singer still has music.) Please include singer's name and ensemble when turning in music. (Cantabile and Ragazzi will turn in music at their Monroe performance.)

Cantabile and Ragazzi at Monroe Arts Center
Cantabile and Ragazzi perform their final concert of the 2019-20 season at the Monroe Arts Center next Sunday, May 19, at 2pm.  Tickets are $10/adult and $5/student and may be purchased in advance or at the door. We hope to see many of you there! (It's always a lovely drive through Green County in May!)

We would welcome two parent volunteers to ride the bus to Monroe and back. Please email Mike if you are interested.

Cantabile and Ragazzi: Your bus transportation to Monroe departs from Westgate at 11:30am sharp on Sunday. Please plan ahead and arrive in plenty of time so you don't miss your ride to Monroe! Bus will return to Westgate around 4:30pm. Please wear your full concert attire and arrive having already eaten (or bring a sack lunch to eat on the bus). A snack will be provided in Monroe.

Holst Singing at Madison Gives Event
Next Tuesday, May 21, from 5-7:30pm Holst will be performing as part of the Madison Gives event sponsored by the Madison Community Foundation at the Monona Terrace. We will be sending more detailed instructions about drop off and pick up later this week but wanted to make sure this was still on everyone's calendar for next week. Holst will be fed at this event.

Final Tuition and Fundraising Statements
Tuition statements were emailed to families last week who have a tuition balance due or an update to their fundraising. Thank you in advance for taking care of your account before the end of our season. As a reminder, payments may be placed inside the Big Red Box at auditions, dropped off at the office, mailed, or made via the payment form on our Members page.

Brat Fest Registration
Another fun fundraising volunteer option is upon us! Interested members of the Madison Youth Choirs are invited to sign up to volunteer for the world's largest Brat Fest taking place over Memorial Day weekend (volunteer hours are available the entire week prior to the festival)! The hours worked volunteering at the festival contribute directly to your MYC fundraising total for next year. (This is a fantastic and fun way to get a jump start on next season's fundraising!) Please feel free to contact ian@madisonyouthchoirs.org with any questions that might come up!
