Report your Mission Support Intent
Your ministry partners in the ELCA invite you to make a statement of intent to synod and churchwide ministries for 2017. As you consider your commitment, please note this invitation models the spiritual practices of regular reflection and faithful response to God's abundant grace. We encourage each expression of the church (households, congregations and synods) to engage in these practices regularly. In this way we move beyond ourselves to do God's work together. You can find stories of our work together in Stories of Faith in Action.

Two Iowa Synods Named SOLI Grant Recipient
The Stewardship of Life Institute awarded a grant to the Southeastern Iowa Synod in partnership with the Western Iowa Synod. The grant, which partially subsidizes a spring First Call Theological Education retreat, will enable author and theologian the Rev. Charles (Chick) Lane to discuss his latest book, Embracing Stewardship with pastors in their first three years of ministry in the two synods. In addition to all participants receiving a copy of the book, the work done at the retreat will translate into practical application in the congregation with the goal of improving stewardship and financial competencies in leaders and their congregations.
