Boychoir Wardrobe Fittings
Purcell | Britten | Holst
Purcell, Britten and Holst Families: Thank you for prioritizing one of the dates listed below to have your singer fitted for his concert wardrobe. Returning singers should try on their current wardrobe and return any pieces that no longer fit  so we can prepare the items for another singer. Thank you for returning your wardrobe CLEAN and marked with your name.

Monday, October 16 OR October 23
2:30 - 5:00pm
For new and returning singers in Purcell, Britten and Holst who need to be fitted (or refitted) for their concert wardrobe.

Please note: boychoir fittings will need to end promptly at 5pm so the room can be set for 5:30 rehearsal. Please plan to arrive by at least 4:45pm to complete the fitting before 5pm.

Parents: it is helpful if at least one adult accompanies a singer to his fitting as there are multiple pieces to try and your assistance with sizing is appreciated.

We can always use more help with fittings--thank you for considering this volunteer opportunity (sign up below)!

Intergenerational Choir with Capitol Lakes
Begins November 1
Cantabile | Ragazzi
We are excited to invite Cantabile and Ragazzi singers to sing with our Intergenerational Choir at the Capitol Lakes Retirement Community. This tremendously successful project brings together the young singers of Madison Youth Choirs with the residents of Capitol Lakes to create an innovative musical ensemble that demonstrates the importance of creative expression at every age and encourages collaboration between artists of different generations. We are looking forward to another wonderful shared music experience this season!

Wednesday, November 1, 6pm-7pm in Capitol Lakes Auditorium
Wednesday, November 8, 6pm-7pm in Capitol Lakes Grand Hall
Wednesday, November 15, 6pm-7pm in Capitol Lakes Grand Hall
Saturday, November 18, 6pm warm up, 7pm performance, Grand Hall

Poinsettia Sale Begins
Hallowe'en is just around the corner which means businesses are already planning their holiday season decorations for December. It's time to begin selling poinsettias! Our annual plant sale begins today with order forms available on our website and linked below.

A few details to get you started:
Our poinsettias are supplied by Felly's Greenhouse and are guaranteed. They are beautiful plants that last well beyond the holidays. We sell three colors--pink, white, and red in four sizes ranging in price from $12-$37. Families earn $5 per plant sold, regardless of size, toward their fundraising goal. Plants are available until our stock is sold out but our initial deadline for submitting orders initial orders is November 14 so Felly's has time to prepare the orders for our first set of delivery/pick up dates the week before and after Thanksgiving.

There are two ways to sell: gather individual orders from family, neighbors, coworkers, etc., and/or approach businesses interested in decorating for the holidays or providing gifts to their clients. Restaurants, coffee shops, churches, real estate offices, hair salons, hotels, car dealerships, banks, etc. are all good places to start. Please read through the information sheet before you begin selling and please contact the MYC office with any questions you may have.

MYC retains sales information from past years and will gladly pass along former singer business leads to interested families. If you sold to businesses last year and need your contact information, please let us know--we can easily provide past order information to make your pitch as simple as possible.
