Important - New guidance regarding employer reimbursements for individual health policy premiums and out-of-pocket medical expenses under the Affordable Care Act.
Employer reimbursement plans have been popular with small businesses and churches who might otherwise be unable to offer health care coverage for employees. As of January 1, 2014 these reimbursements can no longer be made on a tax-free basis. And recent new guidance from the Department of Labor indicates that these may be subject to tax penalties of $100 per day per employee whether they are pre- or post-tax.  Churches that may be impacted are encouraged to contact their professional tax advisors regarding these changes.  For more information, click here.

Small changes can make a PIG difference
Just $30 can provide a piglet to a family in need. When this little piggy grows up, she will give birth to as many as 16 piglets each year. Pigs help fertilize fields, provide food to eat and can be sold at market for much-needed income. What a BIG difference a pig can make! Distribute these coin boxes to your Sunday school classes, youth group, or entire congregation to collect your offerings.
