♦ ​Youth ambassadors will travel to Reggio Emilia, Italy March 6-14.
♦ ​The Reggio Committee is planning 2 exchanges that will revolve around Reggio's Tricolore Sports Games in August and September. The first exchange will be for student athletes to compete in the games and the second exchange will be for adults to attend the closing ceremony and travel to Milan for the World Expo. ♦ The Trier Committee is welcoming professor Dr. Gerd Hurm, a professor of American literature and culture and the Director of the Trier Center for American Studies. He will be giving a presentation at TCU (information to be confirmed) and the Trier Committee is hosting a reception for him at the home of Doug and Judy Harman March 24. Join the Trier Committee and help us welcome Dr. Hurm to Fort Worth. See calendar for details.
 
 
 
♦ Youth ambassadors are preparing for their summer exchanges to Japan. Thank you so much to the Fort Worth Japanese Society for hosting our youth ambassadors for an afternoon of Japanese culture and cuisine. Our students are now much more prepared for their adventures in Nagaoka this summer. Thank you again to Harvey Yamagata and his volunteers for preparing our students and delegation leaders. ​
 
 
 
Sister Cities will send Youth Ambassadors to Bandung, Indonesia this June for the first time in many years.  While there, the students will explore this unique culture through educational activities and home hosting.
 
 
 
♦ Youth ambassadors will travel to Budapest, Hungary March 7-15. Thank you to the Magyar Circle for providing Hungarian language and culture lessons to our students and delegation leaders. They are all prepared for their upcoming exchange. ​
 
 
 
♦ Mayor Hilda Gonzalez has resigned as mayor of Toluca in order to run for an elective federal post. Mr. Braulio Antonio Álvarez Jasso, former Secretary General of the Honorable Toluca Council will be interim mayor until the State Congress appoints a new mayor.
 
 
 
♦ The deadline for the adult exchange in June to Swaziland and South Africa, celebrating the 10 year anniversary of our sister city partnership with Mbabane, has been extended to March 6. Click here to reserve your spot.
♦ The Mbabane Committee conducted a fun and informative wine tasting event at Central Market in February.
 
 
 
♦ The Guiyang group will be planning the 5th anniversary exchange to Guiyang in 2016.  If interested in joining the group or planning the tour, contact Beth Weibel at 817-632-7105.
 
 
 
Youth ambassadors will attend a final orientation at UNT Health Science Center on Sunday, March 1 to prepare for their spring exchanges. ​The board is planning an Lunar New Year celebration to follow at 4:00 p.m. All youth ambassadors are encouraged to stay after their meetings and attend.
