Hi Cantabile and Ragazzi singers and families (please share with your singer):
Thanks for a great first part of our semester! I'll miss our time together in the coming weeks, but don't worry: as promised, here are some things you should consider during your time off:

Even a few minutes is helpful. Review the music in your folder: Look at text, review tricky measures, remind yourself of details. Pay special attention to first semester music that might be a little rusty since we're using it for our Monroe Arts Center concert in April. Here's what you should be looking at:

  • RAGAZZI: I Will Howl, Chichester Psalms (II), Rustics and Fishermen, Fugue for Tinhorns, The Pasture, Mogami Gawa Funa Uta, Bar'chu
  • CANTABILE: Cruel You Pull Away Too Soon, Country Girls, This Sky Falls, Svatba, No di Voi non vo' Fidarmi, Gamelan, Mata del Anima Sola, Angelus ad Pastores Ait
  • CANTABILE & RAGAZZI: Time, Concord

Look at your calendar(s)
  • No rehearsal March 25 or April 1
  • Regular rehearsals April 8, 15 (Ragazzi is 4:15-6:15 on 4/8; 5-7:30 on 4/15)
  • Concert at Monroe Arts Center April 22: Bus leaves Westgate at 11:30am; Concert 2pm; Bus returns to Westgate around 5pm
  • Outreach tours (school day) on April 25
  • Regular rehearsal April 29 (Ragazzi is 5-7:30pm)
  • Dress rehearsal at First Congregational May 6 (Ragazzi 5:30-7; Cantabile 6:30-8)
  • Concerts May 13 (Ragazzi 4 and 7pm; Cantabile 7pm)

Hopefully most of you can join the boychoirs on two Mondays (this info was in a previous email): April 30 (6:30-7:30); May 7 (6:30-7:30pm)

We've been asked to perform at a Madison Community Foundation event the evening of May 17. Please check your calendars and let me know ASAP if you can or cannot participate; I need to hear from all singers.

Finally, a reminder that the MYC offices will be closed March 26-30. See you in a few weeks!
